Agrement South Africa (ASA) proudly participated and exhibited at the Inaugural Public Works and Infrastructure (IPWI) Summit, hosted by the Council for the Built Environment (CBE) in Sandton on 1 April 2025. This prestigious event provided ASA a valuable platform to engage with key stakeholders in the built environment, strengthen industry partnerships, and advocate for adopting Innovative Building Technologies (IBTs).

During the summit, ASA’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Richard Somanje, Seized the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions with influential industry leaders. Notably, the CEO met with Broll Executive Mr. Obakeng Kgotso and the Chief Executive Officer of the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), Mr. Malusi Shezi. These discussions focused on exploring potential sponsorship opportunities for ASA’s upcoming National and Provincial Industry and Stakeholder Engagement Forums, scheduled in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Northwest in the 2025/26 financial year.

Furthermore, Mr Somanje engaged with the President of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP), Mr Lufuno Ratsiku, and the Programme Manager of Development Bank of South Africa, Mr GY Qamata and Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Asset Manager, Mr T Kgatla. These discussions centred on fostering collaborations and promoting the integration of IBTs into industry projects to drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in South Africa’s construction sector.

ASA’s presence at the IPWI Summit underscored its commitment to advancing innovative building solutions and strengthening industry relationships. The event was a key milestone in ASA’s ongoing efforts to support a transformative agenda in the built environment and ensure broader adoption of certified IBTs across various construction projects in the country.
