Description and use
Africa’s Ecolay Undertile Membrane consists of flat polypropylene yarns woven into an ultraviolet (UV) stabilised flat sheet. It is laminated with a layer of low-density polyethylene to form a roofing undertile membrane. The membrane has an overall weight of 86 g/m2 with a thickness of between 0.11 mm and 0.13 mm (120 pm). It is supplied in rolls of 30 m or 40 m long and 1.44 m wide. Ecolay Undertile Membrane is suitable for installation in all tiled-roof buildings with timber light-weight steel and aluminium or Agrément approved roof cladding. It can be used in all regions of South Africa for all types of occupancy classification (SANS 10400: Table 1 of regulation A (20) (1)).
When used in the conventional manner it can:enable pressure equalization across roof surface andreduce ingress to the roof space of wind-driven rain and dust.This certificate and Agrément South Africa’s assessment apply only to the Ecolay Undertile Membrane that is manufactured and installed in accordance with the certificate holder’s installation manual and as described and illustrated in this certificate and where the terms and conditions of certification are complied with.
