Agrement South Africa (ASA) invites all stakeholders to submit written comments and inputs as part of the ongoing stakeholder engagements for review of the Agrement South Africa Act.
This call for comments emanates from the resolution adopted during the Limpopo Review of the ASA Act Stakeholder Consultation Workshop held on 13 February 2026. Stakeholders emphasised the importance of creating an accessible platform to broaden participation and ensure that all voices are heard in strengthening the legislative framework governing ASA.
Purpose of the Review
The review process seeks to:
- Ensure that the Act remains relevant and responsive to the evolving built environment and alternative building technologies sector.
- Strengthen governance, operational effectiveness, and regulatory clarity.
- Align the Act with applicable policies, legislative, and industry developments.
- Enhance ASA’s mandate in supporting innovation and transformation within the construction industry.
Who Should Comment?
We encourage input from:
- Industry professionals and practitioners
- Manufacturers and certificate holders
- Regulatory bodies
- Academic institutions
- Government departments and entities
- Professional councils and associations
- Civil society organisations
- Members of the public
Submission Guidelines
Stakeholders are requested to:
- Clearly reference the section(s) of the Act to which their comments relate.
- Provide practical recommendations or proposed amendments where possible.
- Include their name, organisation (if applicable), and contact details.
Closing Date
All written submissions must be received by on or before 20 March 2026.
